Pablo Picasso is considered the epitome of modern art. He is certainly the most famous painter of the 20th century worldwide. Not only his involvement with Art Nouveau and Symbolism, the blue and pink period or the co-founding of Cubism, the style that revolutionized the formal language of the Renaissance after 500 years, but also his characteristic personality made him what he is today. Picasso.
He loved mythical creatures and had a very pronounced affection to interpret them. In all the techniques Picasso used, he created representations of these figures in drawings, paintings, prints and ceramics. Our spontaneously sketched into a book page Pan head illustrates the shepherd terror in humorous mischievous facial expressions as we are told from literature.

Comparable, personal drawings, dedications on book covers or inside pages of printed works can often be found in the complete works of Pablo Picasso. In particular, the faun often appears in a wide variety of portraits full of character. Stylistically, according to our expert assessment, it is a drawing by Pablo Picasso. We have examined the surface in detail. The drawing is as old as the book itself. The applied colored chalk shows signs of aging that cannot be artificially created. The overall impression is convincing and leads us to believe that it is an original by Pablo Picasso.
